If not you, then who?

At last night’s revival, Jakeb Willoughby called us to obedience in sharing the gospel with friends and family. And especially during this holiday season as it comes with increased opportunities to gather and talk. Though we’re aware of the challenges, we are commissioned as “Ambassadors.” And like the four friends in Luke 5:17-26, we’re called to (1) see the need, (2) get them to Jesus, (3) don’t stop at inconvenience, and (4) celebrate healing. When we’re abiding in God’s love, fear is diminished as our love for God and neighbor is magnified. If not for the four men in the story, how would their paralyzed friend have found Jesus? If not for us, then who else among our family and friends? It’s hard to imagine all the people that have sown and watered in our lives to bring us to faith and fruitfulness. May God’s grace toward us not be in vain as we live missionally through this season, sharing the stories of our own mat and allowing God to work through the blood of the Lamb and word of our testimony. (notes and reflections from Jakeb Willougyby’s sermon at New Hope 10/25/26 / Luke 5:17-26, 2 Cor. 5, Rev. 12:11).
